Mocha Moms, Inc. is a nationwide support group for
at-home mothers of color. These women have chosen to modify or eliminate employment outside the home in order
to devote more time to their families. The primary mission of Mocha Moms, Inc. is to support and encourage women
who are making parenting a priority in this season in their lives.

WALK FOR THE BABIES!!
On Saturday, April 19, 2008, our chapter participated in the March of Dimes, March for babies walk-a-thon. We raised
$375. Thank you to all of our supporters and participants. Because of you, we were able to make a nice donation
to a worthy cause.
March for Babies
March for Babies is sponsored by the non-profit organization March of Dimes. The
March of Dimes mission is to improve health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. March
for Babies raises millions of dollars each year to help support this mission. As mothers and grandmothers I am sure
we can appreciate how March of Dimes provides babies with a healthy start in life. The money our group raises will help
to fund this miraculous cause!!

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT!
Happy New Year! 2007 proved to be awesome and
productive year for our chapter. First of all, I want to say thank you to our 2007 Board Members. It has been
a pleasure working with each an every one of you and we have had an exceptional year. All of your time, energy and efforts
are truly appreciated. We made a dynamic team and we were able to accomplish our goals for 2007.
During the year, we had our 1st Annual Picnic and our 1st
Annual Holiday Party...each being very successful and we had an awesome time together. I'm looking forward to
repeating these events in 2008. We also had the opportunity to partner with a Vice Principal in the educational
system which allowed us to make a donation of school supplies to help students in need. These are just a few of our
accomplishments and I trust that we will continue to strive to support our mothers and community in the new year.
It has been an honor serving as the President for 2007 and I'm looking forward to another successful year in 2008.
